Ireland’s Best Kept Towns Nominee 2024 – Best Kept Large Urban Centre

We are delighted to announce that as a result of our excellent performance in the 2023 SuperValu Tidy Towns competition we have been nominated to participate in Ireland’s Best Kept Towns Competition for 2024 for Best Kept Large Urban Centre Award!

Ireland’s Best Kept Towns Competition is an all-island competition organised by the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Northern Ireland Amenity Council. There are four awards in this year’s competition – Best Kept Village, Best Kept Small Town, Best Kept Large Town, and Best Kept Large Urban Centre, with one of these going on to take the overall prize of Ireland’s Best Kept Town 2024. Greystones is nominated for Best Kept Large Urban Centre Award and two entrants from SuperValu Tidy Towns along with two entrants from the Best Kept Awards will be in the running for this award.
Being nominated is an honour in itself, and it is due to all our dedicated volunteers and the whole town community that we have been included in this award. We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every member of this community for their care and support.

Judging for the Best Kept Town is in May, with the SuperValu Tidy Towns competition following on from this in June and July. As part of our regular care for the town and community, we look for your support to help us keep our town litter and unnecessary clutter free and show the best of our public and green spaces that we continue to enjoy.
