Three Trouts Stream Riparian Corridor Restoration Day 3rd Feb!

With thanks to Wicklow County Council, Greystones Municipal District – Wicklow County Council and the Local Authority Waters Programme, Greystones Tidy Towns are delighted to invite you to join in a community day working to restore the natural habitat adjacent to the Three Trouts Stream where it reaches the South Beach, at the rear of the driving range.

We will be planting 655 native trees, a mix of Goat Willow, Whitethorn, Hazel, Spindle, Holly, Blackthorn, and Guelder Rose. We will also be carrying out some FreshWater Watch testing, and an invasive species survey and removal on the day.

What do I need to bring?: Bring your own garden or work gloves or other PPE. Closed toe shoes or boots are required. If you have a spade please bring it as we have a limited number to share. Bring layers of clothing, personal items, water and protection from the elements and bramble.

Site Safety; Please be aware that the event location is situated adjacent to a stream on one side and a golf driving range on the other. The terrain includes uneven surfaces and areas with muddy ground and is not chair accessable. We kindly request that attendees exercise caution, especially if bringing children, and ensure that they are under constant supervision to ensure their safety.

There is a small amount of parking available adjacent to the site entrance (soft shoulder), however if possible please use the park & ride car park at Mill Road and walk to the site.
