We are delighted to have joined Wicklow County Council to represent our county in the IPB Pride of Place competition. Our wonderful Sensory Garden has been awarded Runner Up in the Creative Place Initiative category!
In association with Co-operation Ireland, the Pride of Place competition acknowledges the work that communities are doing all over the island of Ireland. The focus is about people coming together to shape, change and improve daily lives in their communities, words that apply to so many in our wonderful town.
We are so grateful to all who supported and worked on the creation of the Sensory Garden, from Wicklow CoCo, Greystones Municipal District – Wicklow County Council, Triple A Wicklow, Wicklow Inclusive Communities, all who donated their time and expertise working on the garden and all who supported the fundraising work to complete this very special project.
We would also like to congratulate our neighbouring Wicklow communities nominated and winning awards this evening, ReWild Wicklow, Avoca Village Avoca Tidy Towns and Hollywood Village Hollywood Tidy Towns. What a fantastic county this is!
