Little Free Libraries

We’re delighted to confirm that our Little Free Library project is fully “booked” and ready to roll! Driven by our wonderful community members and volunteers, a Little Free Library is a free book-sharing box, open for anyone to take or share books. It operates on trust; no need to contribute a book to take one.

The first Little Free Library, created by Sean and Madeline, has been a hit since its installation in Blacklion. Books are constantly circulating in and out, making it a vibrant hub for readers.

Building on this success, our Wednesday crew – Dave, Maurice, Richard, Ian, Peter, and Niall – constructed a Green Roof Library in Applewood Green. Barbara contributed her green expertise, and Caroline Emerson added artistic flair. We’re grateful to Aileen and the Applewood Gardening Committee for providing a home.

Excitingly, we have more Little Free Libraries in the works, with installation spots confirmed. Stay tuned for updates on our next launch!
