Plants in bloom from the Harbour to St Crispin’s

The thirteenth Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland, New Year Plant Hunt runs from 30th December 2023 to 2nd January 2024 🌱

Today we looked for plants in bloom from the Harbour to St Crispin’s and found a few hardy flowers braving the weather;

Dandelion (Taraxacum vulgaria)

Sea mayweed (Tripleurospermum maritimum)

Groundsel (Senecio vulgaris)

Gorse (Ulex europaeus)

Creeping Buttercup (Ranunculus repens)

Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)

Red Clover (Trifolium pratense)

Invasive winter heliotrope (Petasites pyrenaicus)

Nipplewort (Lapsana communis)

Daisy (Bellis perennis)

Hogweed (Heracleum sphondylium)

Invasive Alexanders (Smyrnium olusatrum)

Oxford Ragwort (Senecio squalidus)

Smooth Sow thistle (Sonchus oleraceus)

Hedge mustard (Sisymbrium officinale)
