Many thanks to Principal Oliver Stack and the staff and students of Coláiste Chraobh Abhann Kilcoole, for hosting the fantastic, “Our Climate, Our Future” Wicklow’s First Youth Climate Conference. Thank you also to Cllr. Lourda Scott for extending the invitation to attend.
Hosted jointly by Colm O’Regan and head boy Cayden Elliott. Speakers included the action inspiring John Gibbons, Climate Change Journalist and Commentator, Eimear Manning, Youth and Climate Justice Development Officer at the National Youth Council Of Ireland, Scott Sutherland, Project Director Of Codling Wind Park, Noel Cunniffe, CEO Wind Energy Ireland and many others from the Wind Energy sector, but most importantly the wonderful students of Coláiste Chraobh Abhann. They welcomed hundreds of students from various schools, including St. David’s locally. I’m confident that all attendees gained valuable insights that will allow them to continue the conversation about the future of our planet.
